Through its nationwide marketing network, DAB Livestock Auction Hub offers load lots and individual lots of cattle at auction and on the Internet. From producers throughout the Island of Ireland, The UK and mainland Europe to buyers throughout the Island of Ireland, The UK and mainland Europe.

The Auctions are conducted live, with an auctioneer, as cattle are sold to buyers bidding at the auction site or on the internet. Buyers can either be present at the auction site (if applicable) or view the auction or on the internet from the comfort of their office, home or wherever they may be.

DAB Livestock Auction Hub also offers daily internet listings of cattle for sale on the “Daily Market Place Page”.

Unlike conventional marketing methods, buyers have the opportunity to view and buy cattle, shown in their natural surroundings. The cattle are shipped directly from the seller’s farm or holding to the buyer’s destination, which greatly reduces stress and potential health problems.

You Have Three Options In Buying

• Our Pedigree Production Auctions:
  • This is for registered, non-registered for both dairy and beef breeding & replacement stock. 

• Online Livestock Auction’s: (OLA)

• This is more suitable for not breeding cattle – Weanlings, stores, fat bullocks, cull cows, weanling& butcher heifers.

• Single and group loads accepted.

All information is correlated from reliable sources – please also see guidelines that our representatives utilise in there animal inspections.

We import the animal data from Animal Identification and Movements (AIM), Irish Cattle Breeding Federation (ICBF) to the DAB Livestock Hub platform.

Videos are recorded at the farm and uploaded onto the DAB Livestock Hub system.

Confirmed weights are entered, using the sellers own weighing scales, but weights confirmed by a Livestock Hub inspector, Vet, Teagasc Advisor etc. If no scales are available on farm, then Certified weights in-conjunction with Local Co-op’s and respected Licenced Haulers could also be used.

Estimated weights are entered, unless the seller has a weighing scales, If only estimated weights were provided, then weights would be ascertained via the system above or through the FRS or similar and price per kilo amended based on actual weight.

Buyers would then collect the animals or arrange to have the animals collected animals at the farm or holding.  The Livestock Hub would be present for the load out or the a Trusted Livestock Haulier. CMMS/AIM movements would be dealt with at this point.

DAB Livestock Auction Hub holds Production auction throughout the year and Farm to Farm – Daily Marketplace / Buy Now sales daily. The Video Auctions are broadcast live on  the internet from DAB Livestock Auction Hub’s office and studio.

Cattle are offered for sale on the Farm to Farm – Daily Marketplace Buy Now Page every day of the week and every week of the year.

The Video Auctions are broadcast live from DAB Livestock Auction Hub’s office and Studio adjacent to Cork International Airport.

When cattle are consigned, a DAB Livestock Auction Hub Representative goes to the producers farm or holding to film the cattle and prepare a consignment contract describing the cattle and stating the terms and conditions of the sale. This includes the description, current location, delivery date, weighing conditions, vaccination programs, etc. This information is compiled into a catalog that is made available to potential buyers. 

The Production Video Auction catalog is mailed or emailed (buyer’s preference) at least one week prior to the auction. It is available on the internet a week prior to the auction. The video of the cattle is also available on the internet for buyers to view the cattle prior to the auction.

The Licestock Auction catalog and video of the cattle is available on the internet and by email two days prior to the auction.

The Daily Marketplace / Buy Now Page catalog and video is available on the internet the day the cattle are listed for sale.

After the cattle are sold a DAB Livestock Auction Hub Representative contacts all parties to arrange the final weighting, payments & delivery etc.

The buyer is responsible for hiring trucks to haul the cattle to their destination.

• Buyers can view and purchase large numbers of cattle in “Value Added” programs, such as Vaccination, Source and Age Verification & WHPR programs.
